Connemara
House is a two-story brick mansion.
Built by the Kentucky pioneer family of Joel Bryant between 1833-1840,
this home has been the site of many historic guests. Our pre-Civil War
era Mansion has hosted the wedding of Daniel Boone's brother, and was
undoubtedly a landmark and stopping point for many passing through from
Lexington while heading south toward the Kentucky River. This historic home was
placed on the National Register in 1985 and fully restored in 1987.
The architecture features Doric columns,
jack arches, Flemish bond and extensive interior woodwork. The
interior has been completely redecorated and restored as recently as 2004 by
Jack and Patricia Ridge. The grounds surrounding the home are
landscaped in accordance with the mansions present day setting amid an Irish
links style golf course. Spend a long week-end at Connemara House and
experience the amenities of today in a historic setting that will always
remind you of Kentucky hospitality!
Connemara House is
also available for
Wedding Receptions,
Corporate Events, Graduations, and Parties!
